Event Rules

Official Event Rules

These rules apply to all Brandon Perdue Productions events unless otherwise stated on the event entry page. Brandon Perdue Productions reserves the right to amend these rules as necessary. Contestants are responsible for reading all event-specific information listed on SaddleBook.

Entries & Registration

All entries must be completed through SaddleBook unless otherwise specified.
Pre-entries close at the Monday prior to the weekend event at midnight.
Late entries begin after pre entries close and applicable late fees will be assessed.
Late fees are charged once per late entry unless otherwise stated.
Entries paid by check must be entered by 30 days prior to show date, and checks must be postmarked no later than 30 days prior.

Only entry fees may be paid by check. Stall and RV reservations must be paid online.
All credit card payments are subject to a 6% processing fee, which includes applicable online processing fees od 3% associated with using saddlebook.
Returned checks are subject to a $50 fee.

Entry Changes

Horse or rider substitutions may be permitted for a $20 office fee per change. Their will not be a rider and horse substitution it will be one or the other.
Changes to draw order after the draw has been posted are subject to a $20 office fee per change.
Every entry must list a horse's registered name. Entries without a horse listed will not be accepted.

Refund Policy

Vet outs must be submitted before prior to Monday prior at midnight to BrandonPerdueProductions@gmail.com
Approved vet outs will receive entry fees only. Entry fees are refunded for vet out the week after the show.
Office fees, processing fees, stall fees, RV fees, and other optional purchases are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for stalls or RV hookups.

Open 4D

The Open will be run using the standard 4D format.
100% of advertised added money and 70% of entry fees will be paid back according to the posted payout schedule.

Average Awards

When an Average is offered, it will be based on the contestant's best two runs from the weekend.
Contestants must compete in at least two qualifying performances to be eligible.
Average placings will be determined using the contestant's best two qualifying runs.

Futurity

Futurity horses must meet the advertised age requirements.
Horses must not have been entered prior to Nov 15 of their futurity year.
Registration papers must be submitted by Saddlebook ONLY
The Futurity consists of two go-rounds and an Average.

Derby

Derby horses must be eight (8) years old or younger.
The Derby consists two go-rounds and an Average.
Unless otherwise advertised, the Derby will be run as a 3D with ½-second splits.

Futurity Showcase (If Offered)

Each horse will receive one 60-second exhibition followed by one scored run on Saturday.
Running draws and drag schedules will be announced before competition begins.
Additional Showcase rules may be published for individual events.

Sweepstakes (If Offered)

Sweepstakes entries may be entered until the horse competes.
Any qualifying run from the weekend may be designated as the Sweepstakes run.

Incentives & Side Pots

Contestants are responsible for entering all incentive races through the appropriate incentive organization unless otherwise stated.
Contestants are responsible for reading and complying with each incentive's published rules.
Brandon Perdue Productions is not responsible for missed entries into outside incentive programs.

Limited Rider (If Offered)

Rider eligibility is determined using EquiStat Lifetime Earnings as of Jan 1 of current year.
Maximum lifetime earnings: $25,000.
Riders are responsible for uploading or providing their EquiStat report.
No report = No entry.
Contestants may carry their Limited Rider time into the Open.

Stalls & RV Hookups

All horses on the grounds overnight must be stalled.
No tie-outs overnight are permitted.
Horses tied outside more than three hours after the conclusion of the event may be subject to county fines or may be moved into a stall at the owner's expense.
Contestants arriving before stall purchase date will be responsible for the additional night's stall fee.
Stall assignments are first-come, first-served.
Groups wishing to stall together must purchase stalls together under one transaction.
RV hookups are first-come, first-served and must also be purchased together if contestants wish to park together.

Holding Pen

Horses must report to the holding pen one drag before their scheduled run.
Failure to report to the holding pen on time will result in forfeiture of the run.

Schedule Changes

Brandon Perdue Productions reserves the right to adjust schedules as needed.
Competition may be paused or modified to accommodate televised events, incentive races, arena maintenance, weather delays, or other circumstances deemed necessary by management.
Contestants are responsible for paying attention to announcements and official Brandon Perdue Productions social media updates.

Dress Code

Western attire is required while competing.
Acceptable attire includes:
- Long-sleeve button up shirt or approved Brandon Perdue Productions apparel
- Cowboy hat, Brandon Perdue Productions Hat, or protective riding helmet
Event management reserves the right to approve event-specific apparel.

Results & Payouts

Any scoring, timing, or side-pot discrepancies must be reported in person before the completion of the class in question.
No corrections will be made after payout checks have been issued.
Real-time results will be available through SaddleBook.

Payment of Winnings

W-9 forms must be completed before payouts can be processed.
Checks will generally be mailed within two business days after the event when all required paperwork has been received.
Lost checks will not be reissued until 21 days after the original mailing date. Original mailing date will be posted on Facebook>
Checks must be cashed within 60 days.
Reissued checks are subject to a $20 fee

Awards

Awards and prizes will be distributed at the designated awards presentation.
Contestants must be present unless prior arrangements have been approved. Their will be no exceptions to this rule!
Ties will be broken using the contestant's fastest qualifying run during the event.

Producer Rights

Brandon Perdue Productions reserves the right to:

Modify schedules as necessary.
Create, amend, or interpret rules as situations arise.
Refuse any entry.
Remove contestants for misconduct or unsafe behavior.
Make decisions regarding arena conditions, weather delays, livestock, equipment failures, or unforeseen circumstances.

Unless otherwise stated, current NBHA and WPRA rules will govern all competition.
These rules are subject to change. The official event rules published on SaddleBook for each event shall take precedence if conflicts exist.
